FibronPipe is part of the SHY project team

The EU-funded SHY project (Grant Agreement No. 101147456), with FibronPipe as a partner, is developing an innovative composite linear pump and controller valve using seawater as the working fluid.
This system features a dynamic passive controller, which enhances power capture without requiring extra reactive energy. The pump and valve system will be tested on the Wavepiston wave energy converter, with a control strategy focused on minimizing the levelized cost of energy (LCOE).

Validation of the system will involve hardware-in-the-loop testing and offshore trials. Two prototype generations will be developed, incorporating lifecycle considerations, and a condition controller will be created to extend component lifespan and further reduce LCOE.

FibronPipe receives AVK Innovation Award 2024

Fibron Pipe GmbH and its project partners Ceyeborg GmbH and Kloos Systems GmbH are awarded third place in the AVK Innovation Awards 2024 in the category "Processes and Procedures". Subject of the award is the “Development and use of an AI-based ATP (Automatic Tape Placement) system for the production of TCP (Thermoplastic Composite Pipes)”.

TCP for H2 use

FibronPipe have produced another batch of test TCP in IGB (Integrated Gas Barrier) execution, subject to be tested for hydrogen transportation use.
